How to win gifts/prizes?

Participate and take a pledge to act responsibly towards the environment and get a chance to win gifts/prizes. For the first 3 weeks anyone who takes a pledge is eligible. After 3 weeks of launch (Oct 28th, 2009) you will be eligible when the friend you passed on also takes a pledge. You have to inform your friend about the pledge to begin with.  How are the winners selected?

One winner will be chosen every week randomly, based on valid email address provided when you take the pledge online or in person at our events. There has to be atleast 100 new pledges in a week for selecting a winner.You could also pledge again and pass it on to a new friend and if this friend pledges and pass it on, your name will again be considered for the draw.

Do you have to answer the quizzes to win the gifts or prizes?

No. They are only meant to create an awareness and enhance your knowledge about the environment and some of our activities.

Do you have to go through the whole quiz before taking the pledge

No, you may take the pledge anytime but we will appreciate if you go through the quiz to make it easier for you to take the pledge

How do you take the pledge?

Click here and you will be taken to a page where you will be able to take the pledge. Please mention your full name and valid email and write 3 acts that you will perform to respect the environment. Also please refer our privacy policy to see what information we collect and what is the purpose

What are the gifts/prizes?

Prizes are offered by companies who support our initiative and these are some attractive and useful gifts and eco friendly products. Click here to view some of the prizes. Some of these gifts are over 50$.

Do you have to pay anything?

You do not have to pay anything. All you need to know is to go online and take the pledge or fill the pledge form at our events

Who is eligible?

Applicable to everyone. However currently the prizes are only for people over 16 years of age, residing in GTA, who can come in person to collect the prize either at a public library or school to be decided later or from our office. (offer valid only till April 2010)

How will you get the gifts/prizes?

You will be informed by email if you win the prize and you will need to come personally to our office and confirm your identity by producing two valid Canadian photo ID. You are expected to mention your full name which matches your ID and valid email. The winners will also be announced on our website. If you wish that these prizes be shipped to your place, you will have to bear the shipping, handling, postage charges. GreenContributor will not be liable for the warranty & performance of these products which are offered by sponsors or partners or by companies who support our initiative.

What is the idea behind the quizzes and questions?

The questions and quizzes are essentially meant to stimulate your thoughts and make you pause and feel concerned that many of our every day activities are not really responsible actions, which we ought to be taking or doing.

They are meant to show that everyone is responsible for the current state of our environment and we all should do our part. The pledge is essentially an initiative where members within the community will on their own take steps to act responsibly and will pass it on to someone who can also appreciate your effort and will join you in the pledge and pass it on to others.
